Monnickendam
The historic 13th century city of Monnickendam offers in addition to the famous Great Church, also called St. Nicholas Church, a large number of monuments that are well worth a visit. One of these monuments is the Carillon Tower at the Noordeinde in Monnickendam, the oldest carillon in the Netherlands which is still regularly played by the carillonneur! The Carillon Tower is a museum.
Historical Centre
The historic old town of Monnickendam has a very nice city centre with plenty of terraces, cafes, cozy restaurants and shops. Moreover, in the marina in the old city is always something to see. Besides the many points of interest, the city organizes many returning events throughout the year, so there is always something going on in Monnickendam.
Easy to reach
Hotel Lake Land is easily accessible by public transport and by car. The hotel has very large private car park.
Amsterdam
Amsterdam is very close by Hotel Lake Land, there's a fast bus line wich brings you right to the city centre, or you can take your car and within 15 minutes you drive straight into the centre of Amsterdam where you can park for example near Central Station, although keep in mind parking doesn't come cheap in Amsterdam!!
